Quote of the Week

"Men, yonder are the Hessians. They were bought for seven pounds and ten pence a man. Are you worth more? Prove it. Tonight, the American flag floats from yonder hill, or Molly Stark sleeps a widow."
General John Stark, August 16, 1777
Before the Battle of Bennington

You forgot the final part of the speech ... "But be weary, for many yonder Hessians were conscripted and have their pay confiscated by the German aristocracy and if a conscripted man's head be separated from his shoulders by a cannonball or unusually large musket shot, he will come back to haunt any high-nosed pedagogue that dares crosseth a bridge twixt the witching hour."
